What is Feel the Love All About?
At the heart of it all, Feel the Love is simply a way to recognize and reward everyday heroes who are always putting others’ needs in front of their own.
When the program initially launched, it focused on providing deserving families and individuals with a furnace (and free installation) at the start of the winter season. Lennox® aptly named their community outreach initiative Heat Up. Over the years, it grew to be an incredibly successful project, changing the lives of thousands of local residents in need. Since the love was evident and spreading so quickly among the communities, Lennox® renamed the program to what we now know as Feel the Love and made it a nationwide initiative. Still, at its core, Feel the Love represents the same thing it always did — helping those who deserve it the most.
How Does it Work?
The process of nominating someone to Feel the Love is actually quite simple. It begins with picking someone who is worthy of your nomination. It could be a neighbor or friend who is struggling financially. A schoolteacher who goes above and beyond to educate young minds. A local hometown hero or veteran. An emergency responder or essential worker who braved the pandemic to ensure the community had necessary supplies and services. Whoever you think embodies the spirit of an everyday hero.
Once you’ve made your choice, head online to https://www.feelthelove.com/ and submit a nomination. You’ll have to fill out a short form explaining who the nominee is, why they deserve to win, and what air conditioning and heating system they are currently using. Be detailed and specific when writing their story, so the Lennox® team can see them in the same light as you do. Then, just click submit and voilà!
Spread the Love and the Word
Nominations are open from now until August 31, 2020. However, your work isn’t done yet. The more people rally around your unsung hero, the better. Make sure you spread the love and the word by sharing the campaign with your family, friends, neighbors, and fellow community members.
